Well, here I am…. I’d better introduce myself, my name is Andrea Clarkson, I’m 35 years old, live just south of Doncaster and have started the Diet Chef plan today.
I weighed in this morning (after a particularly indulgent Easter weekend) and the verdict was ……… 19st 11lb (EEEK). I have taken the vital statistics too so that I can measure my progress in inches as well as lbs.
Today went well, I had the Granola for breakfast with Semi Skimmed Milk (all the corner shop had in stock near the office) and a handful of Grapes…. I had been dreading this because usually the breakfast cereals permitted on a diet taste like something the baker sweeps up off the floor - however this Granola was yummy!! A very pleasant surprise.
For lunch I had the Pea & Ham soup (a personal favourite of mine - I’d live on this if I thought I could)…. During my long drive home from work I munched on an apple flavoured Nakd bar - again, slightly apprehensive due to the taste of some of the leading baked snack bars. Again I was pleasantly surprised to find it was lovely, really moist, not too sweet but tasted really oaty.
Finally, this evening I have had Pork meatballs with a pack of steamed spinach. Delicious, the spinach was, well….spinach, but the meatballs were great, not too spicy but enough to make you sit up and take notice. The sauce even went some way toward making the spinach taste good too……
Just totted up and I’m running at about 890 calories so far today. If I feel hungry later on I’ll have a piece of fruit however at the moment I’m feeling quite contented…
This may only be the first day, but so far the best part of the diet is the convenience. I can measure out a portion of the Granola to take to work with me, choose a fruit accompaniment and munch away at my desk. Lunch was very quick - just a couple of minutes in the microwave for a really thick, satifying soup (and much better than the 12-15 minutes that everyone elses lunch took to cook) and the same again for dinner this evening.
I’m off to college tomorrow so plan to do something similar for breakfast and to warm up a pack of soup before I set off and take it to college in a flask for lunch.

Well done for starting. I have 21st 13lbs to loose and have started today (27 March) and like you I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the granola. My husband also had a bit and says he will probably be joining me at breakfast. I just had the Nakd cocoa loco and it was delicious.
I am looking forward to the remainder of my meals for today. All the best on yoiur weight loss journey.

My name is Heather, I’m 44 and have decided to give Diet Chef ago. The reason for my decision to start, well my daughter got engaged at the new year and told me that she would like a wedding aboard on a hot beach. So I told her she couldn’t get married untill I’d lost 3 stone
I have just ordered my first box and can’t wait till it arrives, the food sound and looks really nice.
