Good morning,

I’ve hopped on the scales this morning and the scores on the doors are 259lb which is 18st 5lb - a loss of 3.5lb in the last week (and 1st 6lb in the last 4 weeks).  Again, a pretty good loss to say that as I have been at home for 2 weeks, mostly prone on the sofa feeling sorry for myself (so no exercise) and trying to recover sufficiently to return to work this time next week…… My laptop (works) has been dropped off so I can log on later this morning and answer the stacks of e-mails that will have built up.

I have managed to injure my hip - I did it about 2 months ago but the drive to Hull every day seems to have made the problem worse, hence on doctors orders, I am now at home for the 3rd week taking heavy duty painkillers and trying to rest.  The rest part isn’t too difficult as about an hour after popping the pills I drift off to sleep anyway.

Realistically, this has been a good weeke weightloss wise, the company that hubby works for went into administration a little over a week ago so not only are we managing without his wages at the moment, but I have also had to manage with him at home for a full week……  Goodness me, anyone would think I got married to spend time with him!!  I think I have done very well not to be driven to the chocolate tin this last week!!

All in all still happy with the food sent out in the packs, getting ready for a new box soon which I’ll order this weekend and this time I’ll have to stop myself eating all the favourites in the first week (Mushroom Stroganoff & Chilli Con Carne)……

 Back soon

Got my scales yesterday - they were showing 264lb which my calculator tells me is 18st 8.5lb…(I think I have managed to pick up the only scales in the world that weigh in Kgs or Lbs rather than Stones & Pounds).

I weighed 19st 11lb when I started on 25th March so going great guns so far….. 1St 3lb gone already!!  (Not bad to say I have been laid up at home for a week so have got virtually no excercise at all this last week)

I’ll be back in the morning with my official weigh in and measurements.

Well done everyone else who has posted their losses - this seems to be a diet that can work for anyone doesn’t it.

Good morning,

Here I am at the end of week 2 - how have I done?  Who knows……!  My scales have given up the goat.  I hopped on yesterday morning and they said 18st 4lb …….  Now this diet is good but not that good.  Worse still to come though.  I changed the battery, hopped on again and it now said 7st 8lb…..  Since then they don’t switch on at all so I think I need to go out and buy a new set of scales (need to wait for hubby to come home and take me for them though as the doc has given me tablets this morning that dictate no driving).

Still going strong though…..  I’ll get back to you when I have more news.

Here we are, at the start of day 10 of the Diet Chef plan……

Have hopped on the scales this morning (couldn’t resist) and was pleasantly surprised but I’ll wait until next Monday to announce weight loss on my ‘official’ self imposed weigh-in day.

Still loving the food (and the fact that I can add plenty of vegetables to the plate - unlike previous diets that have been restrictive in that respect).

Beef in Porter Wednesday night which was, as before, delicious.  Had it with steamed broccoli & cauli, green beans and brussel sprouts (am I the only person on the planet that loves brussel sprouts)?   Really filling and very tasty!    Haven’t tried the Haddock Pottage yet, as I have mentioned in my earlier mutterings, not really a great fan of fish anyway, but I will have a go when I get to them in the box of food (Have split all the meals into separate boxes – Breakfast & Snacks/ Lunch (Soups etc)/ Evening meals) so the haddock is likely to be well buried in there somewhere. REALLY like the Chilli Con Carne and the Beef & Tomato Soup (both of which I had doubts about whether I would like) so that is also a pleasant surprise.  The beef & tomato soup is really thick and nicely spiced.  I am having a treat today……  Pea & Ham soup for lunch – YUMMY!! Yesterday I bought a couple of pots of Rowntrees Sugar Free Jelly to have after my lunch – at approx 4 calories per pot this is a nice ‘sweet treat’ after lunch that doesn’t interfere with the overall plan. Anyway – onwards & upwards – I’ll be back with an update later. Andrea
