Well, have just had another very social weekend, which was great but not for the diet front.  Went out for a meal with friends on Saturday, didn’t drink as I was driving but  I did have a dessert which was absolute heaven!!! Chocolate Brownie with fudge sauce, I couldn’t resist it but I so enjoyed it!!

Sunday we had the same friends round for a BBQ covering lunch and dinner so 2 meals on the barbie.  However I did have 3 glasses of Pimms & lemonade, well it was soooo hot,  I had to cool down somehow!!!!

Anyway, long story short after indulging myself again for the 2nd weekend in a row I weighed in 1lb less again so now weigh 12st exactly, a total weight loss to date of 9lbs.

I was chuffed that again I didn’t put any weight on considering my weekend off but that is it for the next few weeks so I can now return to the plan and be good for a while.

I started doing the Wii fitness as lack of time has stopped me doing it.  I am a dab hand at the step aerobics and hula-hooping and it is so addictive!! 1hr and 20 mins later (which went so quick I was enjoying myself so much) I was quite worn out but felt good.  Exercise is not my forte, plus my back condition limits me in activities.  The balancing exercises are good but doesn’t really help in working a sweat up so to speak.  Tonight  I am going to try a bit of jogging to see how far I get.

Looking forward to ordering my next hamper in a couple of days with all the new dishes to choose from, my mouth’s watering just thinking of them.

Hopefully I should lose a bit more this week.  Will keep you updated.

Good Luck everyone.

Jules

Well, we got the BBQ out of the shed yesterday to clean it off before it’s first use (my Aunt is over from Canada and coming to visit next weekend so we are having a BBQ party for her).

Once the BBQ was clean, hubby decided that we should have a BBQ to make sure everything still worked properly………  So we had an unplanned party, (about 30 family & friends in the back garden) and in addition to all the BBQ food (Iceland packs - can’t beat them on price) I ended up having a bottle of the pale coloured Jacques fruit cider….

I haven’t been on the scales yet - I’ll save that for in the morning but am now dreading it.

Hi All

A bit late this week due to my having to travel to Manchester on Bank Holiday Monday ready for a meeting on Tuesday.  I took my youngest up with me and stayed at my parents to save hotel bills.

I hopped on the scales Monday morning before I left and weighed in at 12st 2lbs, a weight loss of only 1lb.  I wasn’t expecting to lose anything as I had a day off on the Saturday for my birthday (another year older).  Hubby took me out for lunch and then cooked me a 3 course dinner when we had friends round, added to that the 3 cappuccinos in the morning whilst meeting friends and the cheese and biscuits and 2 glasses of wine at dinner I’m not suprised I didn’t lose as much weight.  At least I didn’t put any on which I was pleased about.  I went straight back on the plan on SDunday and have been on it ever since.

My mum felt strange not having to cook for me as she likes to spoil me but she said the dishes looked very tasty, although she wouldn’t try any.  I did find out though that you can buy mixed frozen veg in individual bags to either steam or microwave at only 39 cals per bag.  My mum got them from Asda but I also bought some yesterday from Morrisons where they have 3 or 4 different selections of mixed veg in a bag.  At least you know how many cals you are having in addition to the meals.

We are out again this saturday as well for a meal with friends (different ones this time).  We go weeks without going out and as soon as I started this plan invites were coming in thick and fast but it is only one leal this week and as long as I don’t out any weight on I will be happy.  Even though I have only lost half a stone so far people are beginning to notice which is a great boost.  Only 2 more stone to lose now and feeling really motivated.

I will weigh in again on Monday and let you know how Saturday night goes.

Hi everyone

Forgot i could make a post on here. Just to reiterate my blarb on Heathers blog (sorry Heather). Doees anyone have any suggestions for me please. My 1st week i lost 4lb which i was really pleased with. I went for an Indian with friends on Saturday, and had 2 brandys with diet coke. A chicken pakora, chicken tikka (no sauce) and 1/2 portion of boiled rice. I get weighed in two days and haven’t lost anything this week. I thought i’d been quite good, and the rest of the week i’ve religously suck to the diet. I do struggle to drink 1 litre of water, but i do try (i love my coffee, although i do have this with skimmed milk now). Hope this doesn’t mean i can’t have a night out every now and then. In addition i walk my dog 2 miles each day.

Hiya everyone,

OH MY GOD!

Well that’s the end of my first week and I’ve enjoyed every meal. When I started the plan my weight was at 13st 4lbs (187.6lbs) Today my weight is 12st 7lbs (177.8lbs) so that’s a total lost of a massive 9.8lbs. I thought my scales had broken so I went straight to the shop and bought a new set, they said the same. How pleased am I :-) Lets hope I do as well next week.
Good luck to you all for your next weigh in.
Stay positive.
Talk to you all soon Heather.

Just a quick update as I’m about to dash out to Physio…..

I weighed in yesterday morning at 261lb - a loss of 3lb on last week! Yay!! This despite going to as friends BBQ on Sunday with nothing suitable for this plan.

Haven’t done a video this week yet but I’ll get on it when I get back from physio!

Well that’s 4 day done now and I’m loving the meals. I think Liz’s Grenola is gorgeous and the snacks are too, the cherry one’s my favourite. I had the Venison sausage yesterday with cabbage and turnip.

Today I had the Smoked Haddock Pottage with green beans and sweetcorn. I find I have to fill the meals out with veg so I don’t feel hungry, but all in all the meals are LUSH.

I was looking at the new meals and I think they’ll be a nice change, mind you I don’t think I’ll eat the rabbit dish (yuk) I don’t like rabbit :-(

Andrea loved the video what a good idea. Who knows by the time you’ve reached your goal, Hollywood will be calling :-)

I’ve started to keep a diary so I can track my success. I’m not going to weigh myself yet, I’ll wait till I’ve done a whole week.

Heather.

Phew, we have been working really hard in the kitchen to add some more products and increase choice for you. We launched two new products last month and we are introducing another 4 this month - WOW!

So for your diet delight we have these available from the 5th May 2008 (Custom boxes only)

Beef Casserole

beefcasserole.jpgNestled on the edges of the lovely Eden Valley is the hill farm at Cannerheugh, home to the Little family for 118 years. We know that it’s the kind of expertise and dedication of a family that has only ever known farming, that produces contented cows and delicious meat. Jonathan and Lindsay’s premium beef casseroles beautifully with carrots, potato, swede and a good splash of the exquisitely smooth Evensong Ale from The Durham Brewery.

Pork Sausage Casserole

sausage-casserole.jpg

Nestling in the foothills of the Howgills, the Udale family have been making traditional sausages for four generations. Ian’s award winning sausages are made to a very special recipe, passed down through the years. Our delicious Pork and Herb sausage casserole, with potatoes and the sublime Rosebud Preserves’ onion marmalade is simply marvellous

Mark and Sue Wills’ Cumbrian Lamb Hotpot

Mark & Sue love their sheep. We came across them at their farm in the picturesque Cumbrian village of Skirwith. The farm has a mixture of heather, sweet fellgrass, and low pasture grazing in the summer which produces wonderfully flavoursome lamb. It’s perfect when cooked in a mint gravy with peas and carrots, and topped off with potatoes for this most traditional of dishes.

Beef Meatballs

Our pork meatballs are one of the dishes that we get the most compliments about. So just to add a change of flavour, these rich beef meatballs are ideal to add variety to our diet hampers. We followed the River Tees right around Richard’s farm and saw his cows grazing the land in a glorious location in the river basin. Richard rears his cows naturally and puts them out to grass all summer. Their meat is delicious. Combined with English basil, Richard’s premium minced beef makes the most succulent meatballs, perfectly complimented by a wonderfully fresh-tasting tomato sauce with just a hint of oregano.
