Really excited about starting this, I have between 2½ and 3 stone to lose. More importantly I am looking to reduce my body fat % from 25.6% to around 18%.
I did ediets about 4 years ago, chose the GI option and was very successful, losing 3½ stone in 6 months, it stayed off for a long time but has gradually crept up on me over the last 6-8 months. This is going to be great cos I know GI works for me and also its going to be easier cos I won’t have to worry about shopping etc.
Fingers well and truly crossed
hi guys well a bit about myself first of all i am 36 years old and just had a baby who is now 11 weeks on monday i lost a huge amount of weight in 2006 and due to this i think it helped me get pregnant i had been trying for 8 years, anyway i totally stopped dieting whilst pregnant and had no morning sickness just craving for all the bad stuff hence my weight gained and now more or less back to where i started i must of put on about 4 stone, i have now ordered my first 5 weeks supply which due to bank holiday will be here on tuesso i will therefore start this on wednesday
one think i learnt when losing the weight is excercise is good so i have been to my doctors and told her my plans she has done a excercise on prescription for me at the local gym and a qualified trainer
what i want now however is someone to be a buddy with me i live in kingsheath birmingham
also what is the average loss i am likely to achieve
look forward to hearing from you
What is it about the 1st of January that catapaults so many of us into action?
As I write this on the 1st of January it’s not a pretty picture. I will be 40 in 5 months time and I currently weigh the most I have ever weighed - a shocking 9 1/2 stone over my ideal weight. I am one of those statistics on obesity and I am, of course, also a lot more than a statistic.
I know what I do wrong; I have a sedentary job in IT which I do from home. Although my conscience is clear on the junk food and chocolate front, my eating habits are poor. I eat nothing all day and then find myself ploughing through a huge plate of pasta late at night washed down with a bottle of wine. My metabolism is shot from years of crash diets and believe me I’ve done them all - atkins, weight watchers, cambridge, lighter life and slimmers’ world. However I’ve failed to stick to them either because the food eaten is so far from normal in the texture, taste and sociability department or because they’ve been complicated and I’ve simply lost track of points/calories etc and in the case of low-carbing it was my first (and hopefully only) bout of gout which made me flee.
So this is my Christmas present to myself, a month’s hamper from Diet Chef and holding myself accountable via a diary to eat at proper times and leave the alcohol in the bottle. I’m also setting myself a mid-range goal of losing 3 stone by 31st May.
just ordered my first package of food. cant wait to get started. have to say though I cant find much about how much weight I should expect to lose. I got 6 st to lose in all so feels like an impossible task. I hope this will be the answer!
Well i will be honest, i haven’t done the diet at all this week and i havent been to the gym once either, but i have tried to make sensible choices and have still managed to loose 2lb this week. am going to give myself a couple of days off for the xmas season and new year then will be back on track. will be back on monday to report how im doing. hope everyone has a really good xmas and new year. laura xxx
hi everyone, well i was doing really well at the beginning of last week up until Friday when my little boy had to be rushed to hospital for an emergency operation. we was in there for 4 nights and so i wasn’t on the diet and was eating hospital food. im just glad my boy is ok and im back on track now. didnt loose and weight but good news is i didnt gain anything either. looking forward to christmas and am giving myself a few days off so i can have fun with the family and make lots of yummy treats for everyone. will be back on monday to see how im doing then. bye bye and good luck to everyone else. laura xxxxx
Hi
I’ve been on the diet for 5 days. Only have about 1.5 stone to lose and I love the food BUT………………so far……………………not even an ounce has come off.
Has anyone else found it slow during the 1st week and, if so, is there light at the end of the tunnel??
How is everybody doing? I have lost another 1lb this week - first half stone done - and just about to start my second five week round of meals. Still going OK, feeling fit and people are beginning to notice that I am getting smaller which is very encouraging. Have allowed myself a treat - am having a professional manicure on Christmas Eve which will be a real luxury.
I’ve done my diet for 10 days and i lost 8 pounds. I haven’t stuck to it throughout as i’ve been sick and also ate out a few times, haven’t been a very good girl
…
I have started the diet again today and i am hoping to stick to it as much as possible. Will keep you posted on my success… All the best ladies n gents!
